The song of the American south seems to always wind its way thru the heart of Texas, striking gold as yet another talented country songwriter first finds his voice and song in his own magical way. For Hayden Woollen, watching his father play music for years in the Houston, Texas market. He started first following in this dad’s footsteps but quickly realized he had so much more to say. As a songwriter, he first emulated his heroes, then all at once found his own natural style rooted in the experiences of the young life in and around his East Texas hometown of Katy.
Katy was a launching pad for his current project titled “the Hoodbilly chronicles” based on characters in his life that are all too real and all too colorful not to write about. Hayden makes his way from gig to gig, write4rs night to honky tonk and tells these tales with an incredible force and inconceivable talent for a young man his age.
