Title: Music Industry Booking or Promotion Intern (Accepting Fall, 2021 Applications beginning June 15, 2021

Location: Virtual – Availability Subject to Change

TSE Entertainment, is looking for one or more interns to join its team. Intern will primarily focus on marketing and promoting TSE Entertainment and its events. Intern will also learn the entertainment booking industry from the ground up as well.

If you are passionate and highly motivated; a self-starter who is resourceful in accomplishing objectives, then you may be the right fit for our rapidly growing agency. We offer you the opportunity to work from home or your dorm using collaborative tools such as Zoom, Asana, Dropbox, Google apps, Celebrity Access, etc.

The Internship:

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to compile local media lists and construct press releases
  • Review, edit and maintain media partner information
  • Review artist branding elements and suggest improvements
  • Develop lists and conduct email marketing campaigns
  • Implement social media marketing for events and artists using Hootsuite
  • Implement affiliate and ad network marketing plans
  • Write news releases and blog posts using SEO strategies.
  • Conduct direct marketing campaign follow ups.
  • Learn the process of working with talent for events
  • Special projects

Requirements:

Current Student (Upper Class Only)

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university
  • Must be eligible for school credit (able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
  • Majoring in marketing, communications, music business/management or a related field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Must be able to commit to 12 – 20 hours per week
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.

Internships during school year are unpaid and students must receive college course credit.

Recent Graduate

  • Degree in marketing, communications, music business/management or a related field
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Must be able to commit to 12 – 20 hours per week
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.

A modest stipend is available for recent graduates with a chance to become part of the TSE Entertainment Team.

Title: Talent Booking Agent

TSE Entertainment is looking for one or more booking agents,  to join its team. Agent will primarily focus on locating and securing appropriate venues for musicians and entertainers to perform live.

Booking Agent:
TSE is seeking commission-based booking agent for the Southern California/Las Vegas area. Applicants must have a good understanding of various music genres and be attuned to the local music scene. A good understanding of the venues suited to these genres is also important.

Duties:

  • Locating and securing appropriate venues for entertainers to perform live.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with artists, artist’s representatives and talent buyers.
  • Negotiating contracts and riders between artists and venues.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in Agency’s databases of contacts, contracts, riders, etc.
  • Using collaborative tools of agency to communicate and operate on day-to-day basis.
  • Handling all scheduling, travel itinerary, calendars and meetings.
  • Research available talent to fit a specific project or talent buyer request.
  • Matching bands with appropriate venues and audiences.
  • Help increase a band’s exposure within the music industry.

Requirements:

  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a virtual environment using collaborative tools and CRM system.

Title: Bookkeeper – Part Time (Approximately 20 hours per week)

Location: Austin, TX

TSE Entertainment is looking for a bookkeeper to join its team. TSE is an entertainment booking, production and promotion agency with Texas as its home with agents located in other parts of the country. TSE uses QuickBooks for its accounting system as well as other third-party applications for contracts, etc.

Who We Are: If you are reading this, you have already visited our website. We have all of the collaboration tools to operate in virtual environment, although applicants should reside in the Austin, Texas area since weekly meetings with booking and contract staff is part of the duties.

Bookkeeper

Responsibilities: Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable, credit card and band reconciliations, journal entries, QuickBooks reports, and other accounting tasks.

Duties:

  • Documenting financial transactions in QuickBooks.
  • Working with contract specialist and agents to clarify financial transactions.
  • Fact-checking accounting data
  • Tracking income and expenditures by category of income or expense.
  • Creating financial reports.
  • Reviewing invoices for accuracy for payment approval.
  • Reconciling credit card and bank transactions.
  • Responding to clients on billing matters.
  • Follow-ups as needed for Accounts Receivable.
  • Liaison with Company Accountant for questions and issues.

Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrable high skills in using QuickBooks
  • Must be available weekly for in-person meeting in Austin area.
  • Home workspace with good computer, Internet, and telephone.
  • Detailed oriented with good time management and organizational skills.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
