Title: Music Industry Marketing or Booking Intern

Location: Houston/Austin, Texas or Virtual (Any Major City in U.S.)

TSE Entertainment, is looking for one or more interns to join its team. Intern will primarily focus on marketing entertainers and their shows, but will learn the entertainment booking industry from the ground up as well.

In 2018 we are undertaking a major expansion of our agency, from a technological, business and artist perspective.

The Internship:

TSE is seeking a part-time promotion Intern in the Houston/Austin area. Internships during school year are unpaid and students must receive college course credit.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to compile local media lists and construct press releases
  • Review, edit and maintain media partner information
  • Review artist branding elements and suggest improvements
  • Develop lists and conduct email marketing campaigns
  • Implement social media marketing for events and artists using Hootsuite
  • Implement affiliate and ad network marketing plans
  • Write news releases and blog posts using SEO strategies.
  • Conduct direct marketing campaign follow ups.
  • Learn the process of booking talent for events
  • Special projects

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university
  • Must be eligible for school credit (able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
  • Majoring in marketing, communications, music business/management or a related field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Must be able to commit to 12 – 20 hours per week
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.

Title: Talent Booking Agent

Location: Virtual (Any large city in U.S.)

TSE Entertainment is looking for one or more booking agents to join its team. Agent will primarily focus on locating and securing appropriate venues for musicians and entertainers to perform live.

In 2018 we are undertaking a major expansion of our agency, from a technological, business and artist perspective.

Booking Agent:
TSE is seeking full time booking agent. One will work in the R&B, Alternative, Hip Hop and Rock music genres. Another will work with country artists. Applicants must have a good understanding of these genres and music scene. A good understanding of the venues suited to these genres is also important.

Duties:

  • Locating and securing appropriate venues for entertainers to perform live.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with artists, artist’s representatives and talent buyers.
  • Negotiating contracts and riders between artists and venues.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in Agency’s databases of contacts, contracts, riders, etc.
  • Using collaborative tools of agency to communicate and operate on day-to-day basis.
  • Handling all scheduling, travel itinerary, calendars and meetings.
  • Research available talent to fit a specific project or talent buyer request.
  • Matching bands with appropriate venues and audiences.
  • Help increase a band’s exposure within the music industry.

Requirements:

  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a virtual environment using collaborative tools and CRM system.
  • Music, music business, marketing, communications or related background
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing priorities and the ability to multi-task

Title: Concert Promoter

Location: Virtual (Any large city in U.S.)

TSE Entertainment is looking for a concert promoter to join its team. Promoter will primarily focus on promoting concerts for our Featured Artists as well as promoting events for which TSE is the promoter or co-promoter of a concert event or series.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with artists, artist’s representatives and venue talent buyers.
  • Negotiating contracts and riders between TSE Entertainment and venues.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in Agency’s databases of contacts, contracts, riders, etc.
  • Using collaborative tools of agency to communicate and operate on day-to-day basis.
  • Developing a marketing plan for specific events or series including budgets
  • Set up and monitor both online and offline ticket sales
  • Utilize live box office database and perform tours research.
  • Carry out marketing/promotion plan adhering to budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee logistics for promoted events, tours or concert series.
  • Work with TSE booking agents to find available talent to fit a specific event or venue talent buyer request for possible co-promotion opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about concert promotion.
  • Experience with promoting concert events.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.
