Title: Talent Booking Agent

Location: Virtual (Any large city in U.S.)

TSE Entertainment is looking for one or more booking agents to join its team. Agents will both book musical and non-musical acts into venues as well as be available to promote acts at trade shows around the United States.

We are in the midst of a major expansion of our agency, from a technological, services and artist perspective.

Booking Agent:

TSE is seeking full time booking agents for  three specific niches.  They include:

  • Someone who knows the R&B, Alternative, Hip Hop and Urban music genres.
  • Someone who is bilingual and knows the Latin, Tejano and Conjunto music genres.
  • An agent that will work out of Southern California/ Las Vegas area who can travel to venues. We are also seeking someone from upper Mid-West.

Applicants must have a good understanding of these genres and music scene. A good understanding of the venues suited to these genres is also important.

Duties:

  • Locating and securing appropriate venues for entertainers to perform live.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with artists, artist’s representatives and talent buyers.
  • Negotiating contracts and riders between artists and venues.
  • Be part of trade show team to promote the agency and its acts to conference attendees.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in Agency’s databases of contacts, contracts, riders, etc.
  • Using collaborative tools of agency to communicate and operate on day-to-day basis.
  • Handling all scheduling, travel itinerary, calendars and meetings.
  • Research available talent to fit a specific project or talent buyer request.
  • Matching bands with appropriate venues and audiences.
  • Help increase a band’s exposure within the music industry.
  • Keep an eye out for promising talent for the agency.

Requirements:

  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a virtual environment using collaborative tools and CRM system.
  • Experience in booking or telephone sales (know how to close).
  • Music, music business, marketing, communications or related background
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing priorities and the ability to multi-task
  • Experience in event production helpful

Title: Music Industry Promotion or Event Production Intern

Location: Houston/Austin, Texas or Virtual (Any Major City in U.S.)

TSE Entertainment, is looking for one or more interns to join its team. Intern will primarily focus on marketing and promoting TSE Entertainment and its events. Intern will also learn the entertainment booking industry from the ground up as well.

The Internship:

TSE is seeking a part-time promotion and event production Intern in the Houston/Austin area.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to compile local media lists and construct press releases
  • Review, edit and maintain media partner information
  • Review artist branding elements and suggest improvements
  • Develop lists and conduct email marketing campaigns
  • Implement social media marketing for events and artists using Hootsuite
  • Implement affiliate and ad network marketing plans
  • Write news releases and blog posts using SEO strategies.
  • Conduct direct marketing campaign follow ups.
  • Learn the process of working with talent for events
  • Special projects

Requirements:

Current Student

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university
  • Must be eligible for school credit (able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
  • Majoring in marketing, communications, music business/management or a related field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Must be able to commit to 12 – 20 hours per week
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.

Internships during school year are unpaid and students must receive college course credit.

Recent Graduate

  • Degree in marketing, communications, music business/management or a related field
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Must be able to commit to 12 – 20 hours per week
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks while working in a virtual office environment.

A modest stipend is available for recent graduates with a chance to become part of the TSE Entertainment Team.

Title: Event Sponsorship Sales (Part-Time Contractor Remote) No longer taking applications for this position

TSE Entertainment is looking for a concert/tour/festival sponsorship team member to sell ‘sponsorship packages’ to our events and for our clients. The primary job function is to creates sponsorship and exhibitor packages according to client specification and sell a range of ‘partnership/sponsorship packages. The focus is on sponsorships from the local level to larger regional and national markets.

This role will be responsible for identifying and developing high quality prospects, securing appointments as well as building and maintaining a sustainable and profitable pipeline of opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Advise TSE clients on the process of creating sponsorships and best practices.
  • Develop sponsorship packages for TSE and its clients utilizing the latest trends in event sponsorships and client requirements.
  • Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools in order to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for each event;
  • Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each event;
  • Research and develop a list of potential exhibitors when required;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients and
  • exhibitors;
  • Keep precise records of conversations with all clients, sponsors and exhibitors;
  • Update the company database as required;
  • Assist in preparing promotional material to advertise sales opportunities;
  • Maintain knowledge of conference timelines and sponsorship deadlines;
  • Meet with trade and professional organizations and other groups to organize, promote and discuss TSE services; and

Qualifications:

  • A history of successful sponsorship sales in the entertainment industry with expertise in selling high-dollar sponsorships.
  • Understanding of marketing research techniques and ability to apply findings in face to face interaction with clients.
  • Strong knowledge of the sponsorship/media landscape including industry trends, key players and terminology, with the ability to craft integrated marketing plans and solutions
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creation of convincing and strategic sales approaches, proposals, documentations and presentations
  • Advanced negotiating skills
  • Confident of generating new business leads from cold calling, personal research and industry networking
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and constantly striving for excellence and success
  • Customer focused and knows how to build and maintain relationships (both for account management and up-selling purposes)
