Christopher Macchio is an international classical-crossover vocalist, best known for his sold-out concerts as one of the three New York Tenors at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, his solo guest appearances with David Foster (producer of Andrea Bocelli), and his PBS-TV concert special “Bell’Aria: Live from Las Vegas.”
This vocalist, who performs everything from opera arias, to broadway classics to modern Andrea Bocelli favorites, is a gifted performer with a tenor voice of exceptional power and beauty., Mr. Macchio is a Classically trained at the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory, where he starred in Vincenzo Bellini’s I Puritani (Arturo), Mr. Macchio began his professional a career in 2011 starring in a concert special for PBS television entitled Bell’Aria: LIVE! from Las Vegas. With follow up appearances on FOX-TV, NBC-TV, and ABC-TV, he has developed an international reputation for virtuoso singing in over a dozen languages. Christopher is also the newest member of the famed New York Tenors, along with 9/11 Policeman tenor Daniel Rodriguez and Irish Tenor Andy Cooney. He recently performed to sold-out crowds at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and has been featured as a guest soloist with celebrated artists including legendary producer David Foster, Sir Rod Stewart, Reba McEntire, The Beach Boys, Colby Caillat, Brian McKnight, Jewel, Ceelo Green, Ronan Tynan, Tony Orlando, The Gatlin Brothers, and many more.
In 2010, he was signed by EMI Records and since 2014, Macchio has been the youngest member of the New York Tenors with Andy Cooney and Daniel Rodriguez, “The Singing Policeman.” “They call me the kid with the supernova voice,” Macchio said. He’s also recorded two solo albums and can sing in more than 12 languages, including Hebrew, Turkish and Arabic.
Having performed across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, he will be touring next in Australia, Mexico, India, China and the Middle East in the spring of 2021 to promote his debut album, Dolci Momenti (Sweet Moments). It features music across the musical spectrum, from classical arias to Italian folk classics, to Broadway favorites, right into the modern age with renditions of ballads from the songbooks of Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban. There is truly something for every ear, and it’s all woven together seamlessly by stirring orchestral arrangements that scale from large to small to accommodate the widest variety of venues.
