The GooRoos are a Houston Texas party band whose members hail from all over the Houston area. Originally the 7GooRoos (established in December 2010), the revamped GooRoos Houston cover band have morphed into polished rock musicians heavily influenced by the easy listening sounds of the late 1970’s and early 1980s. Similar in style to national touring band Yacht Rock Review and Yachtly Crew, GooRoos Yacht Rock brings to the stage a unique musical quality that incorporates clean harmonies, smooth jazz, and unforgettable melodies. Our seven-member Texas party band includes drums and electric/acoustic guitars combined with bass, electric keys, saxophone, and versatile vocals. Each of our musicians has extensive training and experience which ensure a musically-sound live entertainment event.
The GooRoos’ current set list makes it one of the top party bands in Houston and pays tribute to popular artists such as Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, The Doobie Brothers, and Pablo Cruise, while highlighting perhaps lesser-known favorites like Gino Vannelli, Stephen Bishop, and Ambrosia.
